- Japanese Association of Science & Technology Journalists (JASTJ), founded in 1994, now ~180 individual members and 12 corporate members, the only association for Science & Technology Journalists in Japan, composed of newspapers, TV, magazine science reporters, freelance writers, editors, public relations officers, researchers.

- “Training Course for Science Journalists (TCSJ)
- JASTJ has opened TCSJ for 6-month since 2002.
- Now, TCSJ is opened from May to March (for 11 months)
- TCSJ is one of the major projects in JASTJ.
- Many members of JASTJ play roles as advisors, supporters and so on.
- TCSJ is a pioneer in education for science journalists (In 2006, Hokkaido Univ., University of Tokyo, Waseda Univ. established the course for science journalist).
